Commercial Pilot
Flight Training
The Commercial Pilot Certificate allows an individual to
receive compensation for flying. The privileges associated
with a Commercial Certificate could include flying for an
airline, a corporate flight department, scenic flights, crop
dusting, aerial photography, and many others. This
certificate opens the door to an enjoyable career in
aviation.
Third Coast Aviation offers Commercial Training in both single and
multi-engine aircraft. The FAA flight requirements to
obtain the Commercial Certificate are a minimum of 250 hours
total time, including 20 hours of dual instruction toward
the commercial certificate.
Multi-Engine Initial
This course is designed to obtain 50 hours of multi-engine
flight time and a Commercial Pilot Certificate. This course
utilizes our Piper Seneca and our Cessna 172's. Some of the
highlights of this course include: multi-engine operations,
cross country flights, instrument procedures, emergency
operations and many more.
Single-Engine Initial
This course provides the training necessary to obtain a
Single-Engine Commercial Certificate. The course can be
completed in any of our single engine aircraft and also
includes 20 hrs in our complex aircraft (Piper Arrow). This
certificate is advantageous for anyone who would like to fly
a single engine aircraft for hire.
